Human Body Studies by Hachiwara Human Body Studies by Hachiwara
This exercise comes in handy when drawing people. It helps a lot when trying to understand how stuff moves and looks when you see it from the inside.

I know it's not really a tutorial but I didn't find a better category.

Feel free to study and/or reference from it, but I would advise you to practice from medical diagrams, as this is not 100% accurate, but works well for the purpose of practicing drawing people.

Even though the names are in Spanish it should still be helpful for you :meow:

Awesome! Would you mind if I used this as a bit of a reference?

sure! go ahead :meow:
still, I should warn you: they're not completely accurate, so I encourage you to study actual diagrams if you are serious about learning anatomy.

Okay, I will look into that as well. I ask because I'm studying anatomy. I'm making a portfolio of my art so I can hopefully get into a good art college. :)

nice!
one of my teachers said that the key to a good portfolio is to have variety, and most importantly show your effort in each piece, and I think that's a very good piece of advice.
just keep on practicing, I wish you luck :D

Thanks! I'm really good with fantasy and anime, but now I'm studying animals, anatomy, plants, realism, etc. :) I'm also gonna try to work on some backgrounds too. I have a big binder that said, if I remember correctly, it could hold up to 200 pages. I hope to fill most of it up.
Thank you for sharing the good advice. I'll keep that in mind. :D I have a bit of a shaky hand, So if I try to draw a line, it looks kinda off. I kinda color in a sense when I do lineart.
Sorry for the huge comment. I'll get outta your hair now. ^^;

don't apologize! XD it's nice to hear (read? xD) your enthusiasm :D
for shaky hands, try using your whole arm to draw, it will provide steadier lines than just moving your wrist ;)

Yeah, I wouldn't tell people to study your drawings, they will just copy your mistakes.

Like I said, it's not perfect, but it isn't really that bad for a start.
